2. Understand your luck pattern. You should be able to tell when you are luckier and when you are in bad shape after a few tries. My recommendation is to cut loss after 3 continuous lost.

3. For certain games, there are strategies to improve your winning chance. Study them before hands on.

4. Bring enough money with you. Separate them into the amount you can safely gamble and the amount for your daily expenses. Do not touch the latter!

5. Do not use the ATM machines inside and outside! It means you are going overboard!

6. Whenever you lost money, you should double up your bet so that you can recover the lost bet. This is also known as the double up strategy. Of course the casinos know about this, they have set a maximum limit to every table.

7. When you are winning money, remember that Greed is one of the 3 poisons of Buddhism. Do not place bet more unnecessary but try to win at a steady rate.

8. Check out whether the casino offers any form of point collecting card and apply for it. You may be able to redeem the points for free meals or room.

Last of all, enjoy yourself.

Under GDI:
Mission 1: Beginning of the End
There is a bug in this mission. If you choose the Easy mode, it is possible you wont be able to complete this mission. I tried. You will get stuck at the last objective – Defend the VIP convey. The convey wont move at all. After i tried the Normal mode, it will move.
Mission 2: bad to Worse
Nothing much challenging here.
Mission 3: Hard Choices
Nothing much challenging here. Just save your game ...

Mission 2: bad to Worse

Nothing much challenging here.

Mission 3: Hard Choices

Nothing much challenging here. Just save your game after each attack wave. At the end of the mission, you get to choose sides: remaining with the GDI or switch side to Nod. I stayed with the GDI since i am more familiar with their hardware.

Mission 4: Spontaneous Outbursts

Mission 5: Cold hard Truth

Mission 6: Transport Down

Currently i am stuck here. Using Support and Defence modes does not seem to clear the mission. You need to fight against 3 Nod crawlers. Need to think of some strategies.

Continue – This must a tough mission. There is an online tip by the game develop, Sam. The link is as below:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r6n14ePwr1g

The tip uses the Attack crawler. Use it! My tip for you, save often and try not to lose any unit. Keep every units you can get alive! You will need them since the Command Point is too little.

Mission 7: TBA

Will i be the next Picasso? I still remember i have participated in some drawing competitions during my primary school days. I managed to win a consolation prize during one of the last session. The competition was held at the Singapore Zoo. I still remember i drew the crocodiles and the prize was a few cans of soft drinks.

Why i decided to do this is probably to develop my art sense to higher height. The visions i saw was rather abtract in nature and they are such a good opportunity to try out. Stay tune and watch out for my painting.

A Japanese psychologist has developed a new ringtone that claimed about to do breast enhancement. This Japanese psychologist is Dr. Hideto Tomabechi and he is a Japanese brainwashing and deprogramming expert. He spent 15 years to develop this 30 seconds ringtone. It uses the concept of subliminal conscious to affect the mammaries growth. The theory behind the ringtone is a baby crying. Although it is not the actual baby crying but the brain will interpret the ringtone as a baby crying. This was featured in the Discovery Channel! According to some testimonials, it has been known to improve skin complex and breast enhancement.According to his website (in japanese) he has published some books on “brainwashing”. Some of the books are super fast English learning, how to sleep faster, how to use the rest of the brain, how to change your thinking etc.

His website here: http://www.tomabechi.jp/

breast enhancing ringtone

How to use the ringtone:

A woman listens to the 30sec ringtone 20 times a day for 10 consecutive days. The breast should grow by 1 – 3 cm.

Interesting things to note:

1. This invention took place back in Sep 2004. It became news in Singapore on Mar 2010. It took 6 years to reach Singapore. How come?

2. The ringtone is named as Rock Melon. We are not sure whether the Doctor is a Rock fan? Melon or Rock Melon is round in shape and considered to resemble the female breast.

3. Those women working with babies will have big breast???

What is Curling?

In brief, Curling is a popular ice-sport played all over the world. Unlike skating, shoes are worn and curlers walk on the ice. It can be played casually or competitively, where whole family from teenagers to grandparents can play. In Singapore, Curling is still relatively young in terms of awareness.

The sport is played among 2 teams on the ice sheet with a team of 4 people and stones are pushed from one end of the ice rink to the other. The far end of the ice sheet has a target in place in the ice. As the stone travels down the ice sheet, your team ‘sweep’ the ice to help your stone go further or nearer to the center of the target. Deciding which shot to play can be quite tactical and great fun. Many times, teams and bonding are built during the game.

Why do people do Curling?

It is a sport where one….

can play a “lifetime”

need not exert excessive physical strength

plays in a cool environment to avoid sweaty bodies

need not worry of their expertise level in Curling

could adopt an etiquette on and off the ice sheet

enjoy camaraderie with each other

Curling brings joy in several ways….

Thrill of knocking off the opponent stone

Landing the stone at the most precise position

Exhilaration of shouts – “Huurrry/ Sweeeppp!!!” to sweep the ice in order for the stone to travel further

Satisfaction of game played well with skilled opponent

Forming quick mental strategies, like having a game of “chess on ice”

The ferry was pretty crowded today. The journey took us around an hour to reach the Batam Center.

Welcome to Batam center

While walking over to the Hyper Mart/Mega Mall, we saw a nostalgia bear, the A&W Bear we used to see in many locations in Singapore. They can be found in many places in Batam.

A&W Bear at Batam

The main travel medium in Batam is by taxi and they are not running on meters. There are licensed taxis as well as unlicensed ones (or private cars). I recommend you to take those licensed taxis if your safety is more important. The licensed taxis charge a higher price. If you are on budget, then you may want to consider those private cars, the locals are friendly people. Our first stop is to Nagoya Hill Shopping Mall. It is one of the latest shopping mall and offers many food and clothing shops.

Nagoya Hill Shopping Center, Batam

It has a huge floor area devoted to Food Street.

Food street in Nagoya Hill Batam

Here is the other side of the food street.

After shopping for a while, we went to the top floor’s Bistro Godiva for lunch.

Nagoya Hill Bistro Godiva

I ordered the steak.

Steak at Batam

and the Avocado milkshake. This is a very popular drink in Batam.

Batam Avocado milkshake

Another interesting observation is many restaurants are offering free wifi service. You can bring your netbook along too.

After more shopping,we had some A&W root beer floats.

A&W root beer floats

We continue to the next stop, Lucky Plaza, and then move on quickly to DC Mall. It has changed a lot since our last visit. Next we returned to the Hyper Mart/ Mega Mall for light meal at their KFC. We tried one of their local drinks, the fruit tea.

Fruit tea at KFC Batam

After a short rest, we returned to the Port and board our ferry to return to Singapore.

This is the first time I bought an OTO product. OTO and OSIM are popular names in the healthcare industry. They came up with many innovative health products. I have been suffering from regular stiff shoulder from my work due to the lengthy time required to sit in front of the notebook. Also there is the Great Singapore Sales (GSS) 2009 going on, you usually get additional discount and free gift. So I decided to drop by their showroom and test it out.

The OTO Power Tap (model PT-708):

The device is rather heavy, weighing around 3.5kg. So it is no easy task to carry it while you continue your GSS shopping. It was a mistake and I should not have done that.

According to the OTO website, the OTO Power Tap is “a one-of-a-kind hands-free tapping massager that can drum muscle aches away and transform various parts of your aching body to a state of comfort and well-being! Simply drape the OTO Power Tap across your shoulders, press a button and you’re all set for a soothing massage that will make your muscles feel alive and appreciated.

The OTO Power Tap’s percussive rhythm improves blood circulation and relaxes tense muscles. Massage is also said to improve lymphatic flow, immune system and nerve function, thus helping you sleep better. With its 8 intensity levels and 32 rhythmic cycles, massage with the OTO Power Tap will never be boring.”

OTO Power Tap in its provided bag

The Controls:

This thing runs on AC power. This is very different from other traditional health products where they are very likely to be powered by batteries. With the AC power as a source, this device can deliver more “punches” to the users. It is very simple to use. It is controlled by only a few buttons: On/Off, heat, intensity level up/down.

My OTO Power Tap

The Conclusion:

It has been one week since I purchased the OTO Power Tap. I used it just before I go to bed. It did improve my stiff shoulder and i was also able to sleep better. If you do not have a girlfriend or wife or maid to give you massage, probably you can consider one of these products. If you do have a girlfriend or wife or maid or mum, they will love it too. Highly recommended.

Feel free to leave me any comment.
